Traditional Indian "rasoi" has a wide variety and a long history of more than 8000-year history. It has been influenced by several historical events which lead to its rich flavours. The main constituents of Indian cuisine are its special herbs and spices which enhance the flavour and are known worldwide. Indian cuisines vary depending on season, culture, occupations and available ingredients.


"Desi"



Desi is a term that originated from desha (Sanskrit, देश), derived from Sanskrit, means land or country.  However, over time its definition has changed and the word is now used to refer to the culture, products or people from South Asia; specifically India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bagladesh.
